Welcome to our race website
The Langham 10km and Fun Run is an annual event organised by the Friends Of Langham School (FOLS),
a charitable organisation. The route winds through picturesque Constable countryside, and this late
summer event is recognised locally as one of the most enjoyable and friendliest. The race attracts around
250 runners of all abilities, from neighbouring counties and beyond.
There will be ample car parking, food and refreshments (including BBQ) provided at the Langham Community Hall
where the race starts and finishes. There are also (limited) shower facilities. Results and prize giving
takes place soon after the race.
This year the event takes place on Sunday 12th September, and by taking part in the event, you are helping
to ensure that both the school and local community continue to flourish.
Please feel free to browse our site for further information and application details..
We look forward to seeing you there!
The FOLS committee.
From Helen Decker (England International Athlete):-
"I thoroughly enjoyed the 2009 Langham 10k. In the right conditions the course lends itself to a very quick run... It is virtually flat, with a small undulation in the first 2k to wake your legs up, and long stretches of straight country road that allows you to get into a nice rhythm which is not broken by continual direction changes or sharp bends. If it is a breezy day the course is very sheltered so it should not be too noticeable. Although the roads are not closed I did not encounter much traffic in the quiet lanes in Langham which provide a perfect and scenic setting for this event. The course is well marked and marshalled, with two water stations, which to be honest you probably won't stop for as you will be on for a personal best!
This was a very pleasant event, and the organisers provided a very warm welcome in the village community centre, with a fantastic selection of cakes to reward your PB with afterwards! The results were very efficient, up within 30mins of the last finisher along with the presentations as well.
Thank you for a great day."
